Morty, I turned my ship into a testicle!
Yeah it’s wild. It seems to me that the window dressing a “x, y, z reboot sucks because it is woke” proponent falls back to is that making it woke harms the source material in some way.
But here, as you point out, the source material is vigilante eco terrorists.
Worse yet - the planeteers are diverse, both ethnically/nationality and some of them are the political gender (w*men).
So any argument that making it woke is harming the source material is immediately short circuited
Excited to see the woke or not game decider weigh in on this.
I just hate how contrived her sad ending is.
Spoilers for BG3 ahead:
The game goes out of its way to introduce a blacksmith who can temporarily fix karlach’s engine and then he’s like “sorry this won’t be a permanent fix. I would need a demon forge and better infernal iron to get a permanent fix.” And then, if you play the game such that he’s alive in act 3, lo and behold, he’s set up in a legit shop with a demon forge, and you get improved infernal iron from killing the mech guards.
But nope, no repair for you, sorry.
And speaking of the mech guards, the first one you encounter goes out of its way to tell you “hey karlach, you’ve got a defective engine. Come the foundry and we’ll give you a new one that should fix you right up.” And then you’re given the option to ally with the guy who runs the factory, or free the factory’s engineers and save their families - but either way, again despite being explicitly told the factory can fix her, nope, no option to do so.
It’s just so bad narratively. You want an ending where you can’t save her. Fine. But don’t go out of your way to introduce various ways she can be saved just to not even address them.

Critical support for comrade trump’s war on cars

Yes we’ve had first Suez crisis, but what about second Suez?

3500%? No, no - that’s not enough. 3521%? Now we’re talking.

Holy shit so good

I think you hit the nail on the head with the last point. They’ll blame somebody else for bad stuff that happens, and people will just eat it up.
Hmm, out of curiosity, where did you come to this belief that congress can pass laws which are impossible to overturn or require hurdles to jump through to overtur? Did you read an article on it? Is the idea to couple an abortion bill with another bill trying to strip Supreme Court review authority?

One issue from a legal/prosecutorial point of view (even assuming there is a willingness for the government to prosecute) is that the rules of evidence require authentication of documents. In the case of a whistleblower, they are themselves a witness and can authenticate (that is, attest to the genuine nature of) any supporting documents they bring in. If a whistleblower is killed, even if the government has the documents the whistleblower intended to authenticate, it becomes a lot trickier to use.

Indeed. Not sure what that has to do with this post though, which is clearly pointing to the witcheress ending (her profession) as evidence for her becoming a Witcher (a mutant).

This meme is likely disingenuous. At the very least it is confused.
At the end of the Witcher 3, Ciri becomes a Witcher (the profession, a person who hunts monsters). The complaint is that she is a Witcher (a mutant, a person who has been mutated by monster dna), which doesn’t make much sense because she already has better-than-witcher magic powers, and is already able to drink Witcher potions (which she mentions at the end of Witcher 3, while not a mutant).

The patient’s concerns that there might not be a French surgeon operating the robot were allayed when the robot began smoking a cigarette in the operating room.

Is this perfect cell on namek? What is the context?

It will be interesting to see what happens for sure. It’s hard to imagine there will actually be the tariff + removal of income tax proposal that trump said he would do. I’m not sure any democrat will go for it, so Trump won’t be able to do it if there are any republican defectors in congress, and at least some of them prob won’t do it as it they realize it will destroy the pocketbooks of their donors.
There are some smol frogs out there
To be sure, the republicans have controlled the Supreme Court since 1969, so it’s not like they lost all three branches of government with this election.
Has anybody ever been asked “Coffee or donut?”
