That shouldn’t be controversial, considering both CGTN America and CGTN Europe are very lib in their framing of world events. It’s quite disappointing. They probably realized that the Trump regime is an unreliable trade partner, and that’s it’s in their best interests to work with China if they want to boost their economy.

I’m curious how this will affect South Korea-Japan relations, because Japan is unlikely to be happy about this after Takaichi has been trying to escalate tensions with China over Taiwan. I wonder if the return of Japanese militarism might also play a role in easing relations between China and South Korea, as they both share a history of being victims of imperial Japanese aggression.

I would love to see Japan get isolated in Asia.
