I spent more than I wanted to and should have on PC parts in the last year… But waiting risked the prices going even higher and becoming more unaffordable (which yes fucking happened with the items I got which are now MUCH more expensive than they already were).

Like the idea that they can’t put together a strong economy comes from the poorest scrambling to get their before their last chance to do so dries up.

We all know this is unsustainable and collapse is inevitably coming. Why wouldn’t we be spending now to prepare for the collapse?

Yeah really bad opsec all around in a LOT of these groups, but I’m not really sure how you organize without a means of communications. I think collective ownership of the means of communication is just as important to laborers as collective ownership of the means of production.

Honestly, I’m really less worried about myself and more worried about people in more dangerous situations where the cost of such a thing dwarfs even the cost to me. There’s tons of people out there who are being actively monitored by their governments and they simply can’t afford it.
