I’m eating a Nanaimo bar with coffee for breakfast, and have eggs for supper regularly.
Do whatever makes you happy and (hopefully) healthy.
How else are they going to teach those leeches how to fend for themselves?
I hope the sarcasm is obvious there.
They don’t want to pay money for social spending they don’t realize they benefit from while wearing the costume of an ally.
The commenter I replied to said"when it’s no longer a problem" to lower the taxes again, I’m suggesting to not lower them again. People who have multiple homes should be paying maximum taxes on all luxury items- homes, cars, airplanes, income, everything possible, and that money should be used to support social programs.
Or you keep those taxes the same and use the money to reinforce social programs to make sure no one in your area ever has to go homeless or hungry again.
I don’t want to work forever and I 100% disagree with this article, but I also don’t want to be my grandparents who never went anywhere or did anything ever because they were limited to their pension money. I would rather work part time than wait around for someone to visit because I can’t afford to do anything else.
There needs to be some enhanced senior programs to help make it so you don’t have to spend the next 20 years doing another puzzle alone at the table or whatever the stupid ass title was.
It could be the cheapest EV on the planet and I still wouldn’t buy from Tesla.

If it makes you feel any better, the rent was going to skyrocket regardless of the loan forgiveness. That’s just the generations before us people trying to make sure they get to the top so they can pull the ladder up behind them.
We have no loan forgiveness here in Canada and rent is still going up faster than anyone can afford. It doesn’t help that all of the politicians are landlords.
I am a fucking insurance professional- educated and licensed -and I still can’t make ends meet and pay off my student loans.
Tax the rich and enhance social programs. It’s not about the job, it’s about luck and generational wealth hoarding.
We also learned that a mild fever is productive in fighting the virus and that you should let it get to a certain point before dealing with it.
Income is income, and billionaires already have too much of it. Not everyone enjoys taking it rough from corporate America.
The only people who should have stake in a company are those who work there.
When COVID hit I had a now or never moment and took the now. I took it a couple times actually. Got me a real career in a new province out of the deal so I figure I ended up for the better. Sometimes the choice is obvious like it was for me and you need to jump on that shit before you never get another chance.
Good call, my husband cooks, I bake. It works
She might as well have made box potatoes. Has she tried not doing…all of that?
If meta has any part of the fediverse. I don’t need another Facebook. Having profits be the priority will bring down the fediverse.
Probably both Lemmy and Mastodon, if they are a part of the fediverse it spells trouble all around.
Most people who aren’t right-wing nut jobs know how to admit when they’re wrong about something and how to be happy for something that actually is a positive for the majority of people who aren’t already rich, regardless of how that result was achieved.
Tariffs are normal, they encourage a strong local economy that doesn’t get screwed over by a dominant economy that decides to use the trade relationship against the local economy, but they haven’t been “aggressive” since the last time they were used as an act of war and ended up causing a depression.
