Possibly, but the patients I know who generally keep up with their health also tend to keep up with technology fairly well. It’s anecdotal, but my experience with these types is that they are highly dependent on their routine.

I don’t doubt someone probably made that claim and popularized it for their own reasons, but anytime someone makes a similar claim about mental health and assault I am always dubious.

Yeah, I work in orthopedics and rehabilitation and have some patients in their 90s that look better than a lot of people in their 60s. When things turn downward for people 80 and above, it happens quickly.
Most of the time it is because they have a fall or some kind of injury that impedes their mobility. The most common denominator for people in good shape for their advanced age is that they all remain very active, generally walking a couple miles a day.
Loss of mobility is one of the highest predictors for mortality.
Might be a way to get around the intentional blocking of your plate. If you installed a bright enough IR light bar on the roof of your car pointing down the front and back… You would probably just show up as a moving block of light, might not even be recognized as a car by the AI.

An easier way to go about it would just be to install a bright IR light pointed at your plate, it would create a glare that would make it impossible for the camera to read.
I have an IR scope for one of my rifles and thought it would be a bright idea to install a IR flashlight to help boost the field of vision… The flashlight I got was so bright that it just tuned the whole image white.

Should we not have empathy for the children she assaulted? There is no evidence that she had a psychotic episode, there’s plenty of evidence that she violently assaulted a young woman for doing their job.
She wasn’t beaten to death for being rude. She attacked a manager for telling her to leave after berating a 17 year old employee. She punched the manger in the face, yanked her to the ground by the hair and continued punching her while on the ground. The manager only got away after the chunk of hair she was being held by was ripped out of her scalp.
She died from a heart attack because she started a fight with a 20 year old girl while having congestive heart failure. The manager even brought her a cup of water to a person who just assaulted her because they were worried about them.
Doesn’t really matter what you use as long as you aren’t utilizing any protected health information (hpi). If you are using information that can identify a patient then you need to be using an approved encrypted device. Generally providers tend to avoid utilizing that type of information just out of habit.
You don’t really discuss patient information or their care with anyone over mobile devices. If you need input from someone directly concerning patient care you tend to do it over EMR so your colleagues have context about who you’re talking about.

I mean as long as they aren’t sending protected health information it really isn’t a HIPAA violation. We use an encrypted pager at my clinic, but that’s just because the hospitals guidelines are stricter than HIPAAs. For what we and most providers still use pagers for nowadays could be done over an unencrypted network. Most of the time it’s just to call us to a certain room number. It’s not like people really have the patience to type out words using two buttons at more.
