I think I just don’t have the internal analysis. I can put myself in their shoes as best I can but maybe the math for them is “we have materially supported resistance in Lebanon for years so that we could use that asset now”.

It gives me anxiety but that’s me. I think that’s the point, it’s clearly doing something to the brain.

I don’t see how Iran can call on Hezbollah during it’s time of need and then abandon them to Israel incursion. Just a general, non informed opinion. Maybe they can justify abandoning them but if the goal is Iran to be a regional power, it does not seem strategic to betray their ally.

So in that sense I anticipate the ceasefire failing. The things I’ve read indicate Iran wins a long engagement so I still don’t see why they would capitulate except if the current pain is too much to bear.
