People desperately want to associate aesthetic acts and preferences with demographics. I assume it has something to do with cultural desires to place people in neatly ordered boxes.

Lobbying is just the act of proposing ideas to public representatives. The problem isnt that lobbying exists, its that its been twisted by monetary incentives.

I dont think that contradicts your general point, mind. As you say, the problem is how money affects politics, the need for representatives to fund their campaigns (and for the less ethical ones, their personal comforts).

A major part of the “inefficiency of logistics” is caused by greed. It costs too much to distribute… because it doesn’t make them enough money to do so.
