Yes I’m pretty sure her actress replied to that. At least in the screenshot that was posted here, no idea if it was real or not

Hey it’s spelled “fagott” so that’s a completely different and did not at all make terminally online teenage boys snicker 15+ years ago
I have a vague memory of that phrase being spelled exactly like that, but I have no idea what the original source is. I think I remember it from a clan name in GunZ online (and a private server at that) from back when that was a thing.

Mildly Interesting@lemmy.world•Today, the United Nations voted to adopt a new world map that reflects countries’ true relative sizes

The navigation thing is an actual advantage but it doesn’t give you the shortest routes, just the easiest to follow

5·4 days agoMajor difference is that in Hollywood, you don’t hire a bunch of, say, VFX artists for a movie, you contract the company that retains them. They’ll generally still have jobs when the movie is over. It’s mostly just the cast, director and writers that work on a per-project basis. Games industry is somehow worse than Hollywood.

10% of the US is millionaires and wealth is quite segregated by location so depending on where you grow up or live, it’s entirely possible to mostly only know rich people while most of the country lives paycheck to paycheck and a large amount of people can’t afford healthcare. It’s inequality again, yay
Just mentioning this because the thread itself and the person you responded about referred to the US. Not actually American myself.
Sure. You prefer quarters or nickles?

That’d mostly a US thing I believe, ain’t no bank here leaving money on the table just because you paid using a credit card. Still gotta pay it back or pay interest.
Longest it’s taken has been 5 minutes for me. I’d be furious if it took a day, even an hour.
Most cars don’t show that. Here’s the fuel gauge from my backup car since my other car is in the middle of repairs

Not only do you have to know the size of the tank, you also have to account for fuel tank math being different from regular math. The needle isn’t linear. E.g in a lot of cars it doesn’t start dropping until you’re down at least like 5 liters. That’s because people start whining about fuel consumption otherwise (“I just filled up and it’s already dropping”) and similarly the last half or quarter seems to be bigger in some cars. Middle bit is worth the least.
I don’t think I’ve seen a car that actually shows the liters. Maybe once or twice. I’ve owned like 10 or 15 cars and driven many more.
In Estonia two chains make you choose at the pump if you’re paying inside after pumping or on the machine before. One switches over automatically when the shop part closes and doesn’t even let you choose when it’s open. Others are pay-first.
And nobody needs to see you here, they have cctv anyway
Yes because the last time their economy got screwed up in 2008, nothing happened in the rest of the world…
The entire world is interconnected through trade among other things. The US disappearing suddenly will fuck everything up, not as bad as China disappearing suddenly but still pretty bad
That’s what it is though? You can’t put opinions in news. Even if your opinion is correct.
TBoGT was Luis, who was pretty much what VI’s male protag (Jason?) should’ve been. He actually had a personality other than just being the big badass guy.
I suspect the reason they haven’t had female protagonists before is just pure male defaultism rampant in the gaming industry. Gamers would’ve made a ton of noise in the past. Otherwise, a game with Catalina as the protagonist could’ve been really interesting.
I suspect two things:
The world will be more immersive and less soulless once we can actually navigate it. It’s also the first time there’s been a swamp in GTA which is cool.
Lucia will be by far the better protagonist. The other one seems poorly written and with a voice completely mismatching the character model. I think Lucia will have more depth and her voice is more pleasant.
This game is what’s finally going to push me upgrade my 3060Ti in a few years but… I’m not exactly hopeful on there being anything to upgrade to. Would prefer to skip nvidia and amd has decided to abandon the high end market but if I’m upgrading, I’d like to go up a tier or two, not just a few generations. I want to be blown away by the card that’s going to have to last me the next 5-10 years.
I’m also guessing there won’t be a new GPU generation out next year.

Oh wow it’s the city
