Even though we have a switch, steam deck, bazzite machine, wife remote plays her steam cozy simulators on pocket flip 2 and she’s fairly happy with it
Locally she installed gameNative (emulator of steam on android) and uses it for lighter visual novels
All is to say, maybe the day you finally get the old school style console, you’ll change your mind.
Alternatively, discomfort might be just bad shoes. Or constipation. All is to say, don’t forget to take care of yourself first
