It’s interesting because we’ve been eating ultra processed foods since at least the 1970s, but only recently did the cancer numbers spike in young people. Stuff like Kraft Mac n cheese, hamburger helper, tuna helper, rice a roni have all been around for ages. What changed?

Are you asking why all the episodes aren’t released at once for binge watching? Releasing an episode each week keeps you subscribed for two months instead of one.

You’d think streamers would have figured out they could spread that to three months or more by going back to longer seasons. (Looking at you eight ep Strange New Worlds with two filler episodes).

The best explanation I read was that Star Trek is a “period piece” so using modern slang and cuss words jars the viewer out of the story. “Damnit” being the only era-appropriate curse word.

Anyone remember “double dumbass on you!” — They weren’t familiar with ancient slang and misused it. We don’t say “23 skidoo!” in 2025, so why would they use our slang in the 23rd century?

Also it would be far more fun to use Andorian or Klingon expletives and idioms.

How many of these are new subscribers, and how many are just existing subscribers who dropped to this lower priced tier?

And does Amazon make more money from ad revenue than it does a premium subscription?

Why has it taken so long to film season 2? This show last aired in 2024.

That’s the way I felt about Ahsoka. Waste of an interesting character. I couldn’t finish it.

Such a disappointment. There was some decent material to pull from the books, but the show just chose to devolve the longer it went on. That first season is still great though.

Reminds me of ThunderScan. A device that turned your dot matrix printer into a scanner by pretending it was an ink ribbon cartridge.

It shouldn’t be a “must have” acquisition for anyone. The amount of media consolidation in the past few years has been staggering. If anything, WBD should be broken back up.
