“I have no doubt that your day of liberation from this tyranny is closer than ever. And when that day comes, Israelis and Iranians will renew the alliance between our two ancient peoples. Together, we will build a future of prosperity, a future of peace, a future of hope.”

That sounds familiar…

Certainly true, but I strongly doubt that would work out in Iran, especially since it already has strong alliances with Russia and China.

I wouldn’t call these “strong” alliances. Russia has a quite ambiguous relationship with Israel, including having let Israel bomb Iran allied/proxy militias in Syria, when Assad was still in power.

Russia and China are profiting off sanctions against Iran, as Iran cannot develop its industries for selling on western markets, instead selling raw or low level processed resources to Russia and China.

It is more of an alliance by necessity against the US as the main geopolitical rival and its proxies in West Asia as the main regional enemies to Iran.

Fair enough, but the necessities that produced the relationship between them aren’t going anywhere anytime soon; Russia still needs their Shahed drones, Iran needs non-Western markets and weaponry and China is perfectly happy to profit off the misfortune of everyone involved.
