I usually do this every night when I’m about to sleep, and also during times when I want to decompress from the barrage of notifications. Sure, DND mode is a thing but I really enjoy the feeling of being unreachable sometimes. Having it on DND still makes you receive the notifications. It’s also easier than turning your phone on and off. Regarding emergencies, I really don’t have any situations where it’d be so pressing for me to react immediately to something. And either way I’d never sleep having volume/vibration enabled from calls.
Is there anyone that relates to this?
I always put mine on DND and filter it for phone calls only from specific people (because if those people call me in the middle of night, it is for sure an emergency). Everything else is on silent.
I’m not sure what you mean by “Having it on DND still makes you receive the notifications”. You can filter all that shit out, check your settings. If you mean that you want to be able to look at your phone but not see notifications, I’d say you just need to learn to put the phone down, period. Don’t even be looking at that thing 30 minutes before bed. Put it down and get ready for bed, then sleep.
Yeah same. Only phone calls get through, the rest is silent. I don’t get spam called enough to have a whitelist. If I expect important messages I might check a bit more often. But I rarely miss something important
