Dr. Ruth for sure. Ms. Frizzle is fictional but deserves recognition. An argument could be made for Julia Child, and Dolly Parton is not primarily known for her free book program but it is incredible.

  Good suggestions. I tried to look up who hosted Romper Room but apparently it was a franchise and had a different host in each location
