And what content would you like to see?
The whole thing tbh, no one bothers posting, including the mods. Things like news being days and days behind. People posting communites on this thread they want to be more active on here, but the subs are empty. Get posting.
So many users complain about posts, but never post themselves.
!amateursatellites@lemmy.world and any ham radio communities.

Would you consider Earth’s moon an amateur satellite or a professional? I mean, she’s been doing it for a really long time. But IDK if she does it as a hobby or to pay the bills.
Any ham radio communutues you’d recommend?
Been considering it as a hobby in case shit goes down
I just know there’s
!amateur_radio@sh.itjust.works
!amateur_radio@lemmy.radio (far more active)
!sdfarc@lemmy.sdf.org (basically dead)Why is it called “ham radio”? What do lunch meats have to do with this???
Basically, it was a prejoritive term insulting those bad at morse code (“Ham fisted”), and it stuck around
The community from the old place is pretty active, I wish more of them would flow over here.
I think the top post here has a few hundred upvotes, and the average upvote count is ~20, but people gonna go where they feel they will get the most engagement.

lemmy.mindoki.com/c/aip Art In Progress.
Because it’s mine and it’s empty now as I had to wipe my lemmy server (it never worked OK, super sluggish, the federation was skipping more and more, and the database was over 10GB).
I’ll try to make it live again :-)
Edit: !aip@lemmy.mindoki.com thanks brb!
I hereby invite all ya’ll to join and contribute your favorite Tom Swifty jokes to !tomswifty@midwest.social
If you’re unfamiliar with the format, they’re jokes where the described manner of speaking is a pun on what’s said, eg.
“Have you heard me singing in church?” Tom inquired.
DigitalMinimalism
I’d like to see a community for TV/Streaming Series like /r/television. There are several atm but none is very active.
!fgc@lemmy.world
!mahjong@lemmy.nerdcore.social
!splatoon@lemmy.worldI mainly used the other site for niche microinterests, but because Fedi itself is so niche too, that means the venn diagram doesn’t have enough overlap to sustain these communities. And sadly I’m not sure if it ever will.
I’m honestly surprised to see how large the Splatoon community on the Fediverse is. I’ve seen a pretty big presence on Mastodon, as well.
I play American mahjong, is that allowed over there?
Well considering the community appears to be completely dead, I doubt anyone’s gonna care either way…
I would really like to see more BSD related content here since I really want to get into using BSD :D

!Asian has a grand total of 2 posts, ever, 1 of which was 10 months ago. It’s not going to get more active when there isn’t even a seed of activity to begin with.
I just went and subscribed to Asian. Problem is, that it doesn’t have any description, no moderators, no rules. I’m not Asian myself but lived in several Asian countries and I am interested. I don’t know if this place is meant for Asian people only or for Asian news or a general interest in Asia or just another place for Asian only fans accounts??
Someone has to take it on and make it a community, a place to hang out and share stuff.

Distro specific communities are really small.
Too many to list!
Apes Together Strong[1]
As long as one person is active in the community, it still lives for another day.
“Anyone who thinks that they are too small to make a difference has never tried to fall asleep with a mosquito in the room.” — The Dalai Lama
“We live in a world in which we need to share responsibility. It’s easy to say it’s not my child, not my community, not my world, not my problem, then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes.” — Fred Rogers
“I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.” ― Edward Everett Hale
