Israel Defense Forces confirmed the capture of the Former commander of the Israeli army’s Gaza division in 2022, Brigadier General Nimrod Aloni, this morning at his home by Palestinian militants.
In the short term, Hamas is probably going to spread the Israeli prisoners out in Gaza so that levelling Gaza from the air will be tantamount to the IDF killing the hostages.
Will Hamas use them as leverage? Israel has to free some Palestinians Prisoners in exchange for these hostages.
That seems to be the goal of the operation. They want all Palestinian prisoners released in exchange for the captured Israelis.
