I initially met this issue but fixed after several changes on nginx https config and Lemmy config.

The background is that after I joined the Lemmy society, everyday we got feedbacks that ppl are facing federation issues with 0 comments on posts and subscribing issues.

Most of them are using docker compose and seems the config file of Lemmy is out dated from the official documentation.

This thread is for tracking this issue before we can get any root causes and making the PR for fixing it.

    Hi :) I didn’t have federation: { enabled: true } and tls_enabled: true in my lemmy.hjson before, but I do now and have added your instance to my allowlist. I’m posting this to test if it works now.
