Oof the book is all over the place (to a fault) but you can definitely picture the craziness in your head. It’s a screenplay with Mann collaborating with a co-writer essentially.

I don’t want to give away any spoilers but I think the worlds he created are easily cinematic and can be fascinating.

It was just a slog to read at first because some of the writing was annoying the hell out of me. I guess it’s been over a year or more since I set it down and I happened to read some scripts in the interim and that helped me just pick it up and finish the thing. I should have just taken it in as pulp fiction without criticism over a few days, like a normal person.
