I love Leftists Saw memes but there’s no way in any universe that Chewie was a Maoist
And he died, having accomplished very little, because he believed that victory comes from purity of purpose, rather than from working together against the enemy of all.
He accomplished alot, having been in the fight from the beginning before there was a possibility of a rebel alliance. But he didn’t change with the times. And that’s ignoring anything outside of the Andor including his part in Rogue One.
Umm… I think he accomplished a bit more than “very little”. Not looking it up, but the show clearly makes him out to be an important asset.
The show clearly makes him out to be a loose cannon, dangerous even to his allies. He caused great factionalism in the rebellion.
The clear part is that a wealthy former Imperial senator used to polite consensus building believes those things.
Even if that’s true (imho it’s not so clear-cut): he’s still considered to be an important asset and vital in the establishment of Yavin.
Also, the show clearly shows the issues of the politics of the new rebellion council.
Its a very bias confirming show, thats for sure. I love it haha
Itys quite a realistic depiction of politics, which is pretty much never so clear-cut.
Pretty sure he was out pulling the empire away from yavin to buy them time while the rebel council was arguing and indecisive, only to end up complaining that he deployed without their prior approval.
Learned what a Posadist was thanks to this.
Ezra inheriting Hera’s beliefs and including The Force as the ufology, top tier
I just watched this scene for the first time. I couldn’t take it seriously because I kept thinking of the guy screaming, “Splitters!” from Monty Python’s Life of Brian.
