I don’t understand how any country on earth could ever think the US is an ally. Just literally open any history book, even the most propaganda brained ones, and you’ll see that US history is broken agreement after broken agreement after broken agreement

Yes we have history books, but consider, what if I set you and your family/friends off for life? Of course if you fail me I’m abandoning you, but surely you think you wouldn’t fail me, right?

Like WW2 all over again where the U.S. was playing both sides. It’s like Europe legitimately believes in fascist ideology and the U.S. are just grifting them over and over. Because people who actually believe in fascism are the easiest targets for cons because they’re like really really fucking dumb.

For me it’s that it seemed very knowable from the beginning. US being a bad ally isn’t a new phenomenon. Why the fuck are you a leader if you’re lagging in geopolitical insight compared to a fucking id*ot who just yesterday managed to beat tier 3 desert in Megabonk? What do you even do all day?
