You have to invite people to specific things, not just a vague idea.
I just finished hanging out with a friend-couple. We did yardwork and drank tea. lol
Create a plan and then invite people to it:
“I’m going to this concert next month, come along?”
“I’m going for dinner later, join?”
“I’m bringing down the patriarchy from within and i would love for you to be there.”
“I’m doing x because y. You should come with.”
It’s tiring tho if you are the only plannin dude. :< Have two friends of “We should hang out sometime!” variety and being the one who always has to grab them and nail down a plan is draining xD And it’s not like they don’t want to hang out and throw out empty words - they are just absolutely incapable of doing the planing. xD

Yeah, super tiring and i get tired of hearing no. After asking someone a few times and it never working out i take it as a hint.
