Florida Statute 828.12 defines cruelty to animals as “a person who unnecessarily overloads, overdrives, torments, deprives of necessary sustenance or shelter, or unnecessarily mutilates, or kills any animal.”
Right, but this doesn’t apply to Tyson Foods or anyone important, in fact it only counts if you aren’t a card carrying representative of a Certified Animal Rights Infringement and Neglect Group, or CARING for short.
Well, you can support putting people up to the wall for cruelty against opossums and against chickens. The state of Florida doesn’t show that amount of consistency on animal rights, but i absolutely do.
Don’t get me wrong, this guy deserves it, I just find it very interesting how animal abuse is so ingrained in our society that they wrote this definition and it didn’t even occur to them that it basically criminalizes the most fundamental parts of the culture of this country.
