    Some Brazilian could clarify here, this means the law was approved in both chambers?

      Yes. But before becoming law the president must sign it off. He vetoe’d it.

      But the veto can still be overturned by Congress.

        Ah, just like here in Argentina… our constitutions were made just for the drama apparently.
