Everyone says “it gets good, just push through” but nobody ever tells you where. So let’s actually name the episode. For me it was The Americans, season 2 episode 1. Season 1 was fine, competent spy stuff, and I nearly quit twice. Then season 2 opens and it turns into a show about a marriage that occasionally has spies in it, and I watched the rest in about a month. Also curious about the ones where you pushed through and it never clicked. I made it through the Battlestar Galactica miniseries and a handful of season 1 episodes and it never got its hooks in, and I still hear about it constantly.
