Is it just me or is it weird not seeing any Japanese anime on that list? I mean FLCL is certainly in the ‘new frontier of animated weirdness’ genre
The first time I saw anything on Adult Swim, it was Sealab 2021. I had seen the original, actual cartoon it was parodying growing up and thought it was that, at first. But it was so much more and instantly hooked me. It was followed up by The Brak Show and Space Ghost. Surprised that the only one of those they list is Space Ghost.
Sealab 2021 was great!
I’m also surprised they didn’t include home movies! I thought that was one of their very first shows on their first ever airing!
I hate seeing robot chicken on the list, but it did launch Seth greens career, so I …guess that’s important?
