Nostalgia baiting, the first Star Wars movie released in years, Disney marketing the absolute crap outta the movie, etc.

i made a comment like this but I will say there was like this crazy excitement for this and a lot of fans were so happy at a new star wars that they had rose colored glasses. Especially parents with kids the right age. I remember being like. Wait! You atually like it? with people.

Better than Force Awakens at least.

I actually think each successive Tom Holland Spider-Man has has been better than the last. Brand New Day is very good.

Idk, i don’t really like the third one as much as i do for the first 2. 1 is fantastic still. 3 is full of smart people making dumb mistake for no reason. Like the two smartest people in NYC making NYPD kind of dumb mistake.

i was impressed with the first one but that’s the only one i’ve seen, except for the cartoon ones- spiderverse. i was really impressed with those, and was surprised that the second one surpassed the first. excellent movies

Fun fact! The Lego sequence was by a Canadian kid, and the quip by Lego Spidey that he was the best version was added by said kid —and they left it in! 🫶🏼

I thought it was good, but not great or noteworthy. The story is a bit stupid at times, but it is well acted and it has some fun action sequences. It also avoids the MCU defect of spending too much of the movie setting up future movies. Villain and several of the major supporting characters are camios from other series, but they fit well into this movie.

Yeah. It’s not as fun as the ones where he’s in high school but it nails the feeling of a comic book better than any superhero adaptation I’ve seen.

No, they don’t. For a wide variety of reasons but mostly because headlines like this help management make decisions as to what gets greenlit.
