Funny. Because it seems like the people “shouting politics” are doing fine and it’s the cowards who won’t speak up against genocide who are feeling the consequences of their cowardice.

Someday, I hope non-celebrities who are indifferent to or supportive of genocode see some consequences too.

Tell that to the guy who got himself booted, and to the band that basically burned all bridges with Ed Sheeran.

You know what’s the end game here? “No politics” clausule in the future contracts, with massive fines for breaching it.

I think Macklemore is doing alright. I’d imagine this will be a net plus for his ticket sales, but that’s not why he did it, as far as I can tell.

the band that basically burned all bridges with Ed Sheeran.

That’s also probably a net plus for them, since they can now do their own music and be “the band that stick to their principles and quit Ed Sheeran”.

Meanwhile Sheeran has to find a new opening act, new backing band, etc or risk big forfeit clauses in his performance contracts.

I’m guessing you just don’t have any actual principles you’d put ahead of money or chasing celebrity?
