On Dig, Poehler stars as Elise, the unsung underling of a famous British archaeologist named Neville (Hugh Laurie), who, despite his dedication to science and the next generation of diggers, ultimately refuses to retire and hinders Elise’s career prospects. However, her fortunes change when she unearths a rare artifact at an excavation site in Greece, putting her and her team (Geraldine Viswanathan, Antonia Thomas, and Fina Strazza) at the center of an international conspiracy.
