2·2 years agoI know it gets quoted a lot, but Gabe was 100% right. It boggles my mind how people in power over these streaming services just don’t get it:
One thing that we have learned is that piracy is not a pricing issue. It’s a service issue. The easiest way to stop piracy is not by putting antipiracy technology to work. It’s by giving those people a service that’s better than what they’re receiving from the pirates.
Some bring me back to a moment, others back to a time. Like “I Can’t Go For That” by Hall & Oates will take me back to the 80s, but something like “In My Time of Dying” by Led Zeppelin reminds me of the time I was listening to LZ while playing Super Mario Bros. 2, or “Narayan” by The Prodigy and playing Final Fantasy XI.

Nintendo remembers how the internet collectively lost its shit over Charles not voicing Mario in the movie. Nintendo knew better than to announce it before the game’s release.
5·3 years agoThat’s good to hear. World and 3 are also my #1 and #2 Mario games (sometimes 3 is #1, sometimes World is) and if this is as good as those, I’m really looking forward to it. Never could get into the NSMB stuff, for some reason. They’re OK, but just didn’t scratch that World itch.

That is a bold statement, given Super Mario Bros. 3 and World exist. I hope it lives up to those games.
It just switches the question to the library: “What will we borrow tonight?”

When Xcloud eventually (promises, promises, Phil) gets purchased games access, there’ll be no need for the console anymore. Hell, PC gamers could (in theory, anyway) play GTA VI by buying the Xbox version and playing it on Xcloud (again, if purchased games comes to it, it’s been promised for years).
