I literally don’t know who you’re talking to anymore. Who is “you lot”? You’re arguing with a group of people you invented in your mind.

Now I think you might be a troll.

Is this comment implying that ICE will soon be under control of Democrats, which are being conflated with “the left”, and therefore these weapons will soon be under control of “the left”? Because if so, I disagree for many reasons.

I can confidently say that anyone who would support an armed working class uprising could not care less if it would result in the cancelation of a few shows, and certainly not the shows you mentioned. I think you have created a mental image of some stereotypical “liberal/leftist” that does not actually exist in reality, and certainly does not represent the person whose comment you replied to.

I get it, but can we not resort to name-calling? I don’t think it’s an effective form of persuasion.

Most people are not yet materially desperate enough to risk going to prison and ruining their lives.

What do either of those shows have to do with the comment you’re replying to?
Hmm, yeah, everything you’re saying sounds totally plausible. I guess I just haven’t noticed any of these problems directly affecting my user experience yet, certainly not enough to consider attempting to migrate away from Linux.
Have you tried airvpn? I haven’t yet, but I’ve seen it recommended and it supports port forwarding.
Any reason not to use ivpn or airvpn? ivpn in particular seemed very privacy-focused with a pricing structure similar to mullvad when I looked at their website.
One of the owners made a huge donation to a right-wing, anti-immigration Swedish political party, I believe. Someone feel free to correct me on the details.
I’ve been looking at both ivpn and airvpn as potential replacements.

Do you have more info on how the company is structured? Everything I can find on their site just says it’s “employee-owned”, but I don’t know what that means.

I’m not quite following, why would the Democrats winning make it easier for the AI companies to ask for bailouts? Genuine question.

Maybe they already have an iphone and are trying to make good use of it.

Idk, I find it pretty informative.
Genuine question, what negative effects are corps having on the Linux ecosystem? I’ve also been daily driving Linux for over a decade and it honestly feels pretty similar now to how it did 10 years ago.

Just quickly skimming the article you linked, I’m not seeing evidence that wikipedia is “shit”, just that there have been many attempts by governments and other powerful people to influence its content, which shouldn’t be surprising to anyone given how popular it is. Are there examples you could point to of those attempts being successful? (Including particular examples you want to highlight in that article; again I only skimmed it on a small screen.)
It also seems strange to link to a wikipedia article to support the claim that wikipedia is shit.

It’s originally a meme about eating 30 olives for dinner.

I haven’t read the article and I’m not saying you’re wrong, but in general plant foods are known to have less environmental impact than animal products because animals are higher on the food chain, and it takes more energy to raise an animal for consumption (including the resources to grow food for the animal) than to just grow plants and consume them directly.
It’s really strange to me that an anarchist would spend any amount of energy trying to convince anyone not to vote. If the argument is that the tiny amount of time/energy spent voting a few times per year is somehow detrimental to one’s ability to engage in direct action, then couldn’t we also say that your time/energy would be better spent on direct action than spreading anti-voting memes and arguing with people about voting? It also feels borderline suspicious that these anti-voting memes are always being pushed right before a major election in the United States.
I joined this instance because I wanted a horizontally organized, anarchist-friendly place to hang out, but this is just really turning me off from this place.
