  • I’ve been playing Last of Us 2 on pc. It’s pretty fun.

I don’t know how I feel about the story yet, it’s not told chronologically and I feel that it is to its own detriment.

You aren’t really built up to caring for the characters and some of their developments fall flat. But I haven’t finished it yet so idk.

Also the dialogue is uniquely “game-like” in some circumstances and it’s jarring when it happens.

I will say though…gameplay wise. It is out-fucking-standing I mean some of the best I’ve ever encountered. Stealth bordering on metal gear levels of quality with quick and fluid combat to back it up. The AI outsmarts me, flanks, fakes me out, etc…

So far I’ve enjoyed the encounters the best and the rogue like mode second.

Maybe the story will grow on me. I’m not sure

  • I have personally ordered heavier machines from China and I have had nothing but positive experiences.

For example a pallet jack, electric. A toyota one is easily over 10,000 and I am sure they are very reliable. But I can get a capable 1.5 ton pallet jack from china for 1,100 that I have had zero issues out of except for a piece that was cosmetically damaged during shipping. I can’t say that they are comparable in quality as I’ve only had it for around a year but I’ve also had zero issues out of it. And for a 1/10 of the price it has excellent welds, great battery, great safety measures.

America was beaten long ago in manufacturing and now the average American is realizing that and is buying from China. So of course America has to shut that off.

I hope China will find a way around these tariffs but it’s beginning to look unlikely.

    P.S.

Farming equipment as well is very cheaply produced in China, most wrap for hay come from China already. China makes excellent tractors big and small.

The only reason Chinese farm equipment isn’t huge is because America subsidizes farmers so much.

  • I’ve seen some predicting 105 eod and at that point you’d be doing pretty well on puts. I just burned my ass on contracts friday though so I’m staying well away from this.

I swear puts make so much sense but who knows in this fucked up casino

Edit: Looks like most of the drop was just in pre-market. But who knows. Could drop some more. I’d say this made a lot of people rich. And even more poorer

Double edit: Unless you bought puts friday I’d say you’ll lose your ass on puts today. Looks like a slow burn and I imagine premiums will cut away your profits. But who knows maybe it will dump later today.

All in all a total decimation of the U.S. stock market this is not. But it could be a sign of a bubble soon to pop

  • Vintage story is one of the best survival games. Difficulty wise it seems dauntingly high at first. Strange Eldritch monsters and unforgiving wilderness. Then you discover knapping. Things get a lot easier. You hunt. Discover cooking. Food preservation. Pottery. Then you make your first pickaxe. Probably 10 hours in. Suddenly things don’t seem so hopeless.

Then a temporal storm hits. Difficulty is suddenly increased once again. You die a few times.

This cycle continues throughout. You think you’ve finally got it figured out. “This food should last” then winter hits.

It’s not an unforgiving game. It’s fair and you have to learn it to prosper. Eventually you will have a town and a mill. A smithy. Farms galore.

You earn the right to explore in Vintage story
