We gauged it a success, in that we exhausted the police’s resources. They just stopped arresting us after 5am.

Speaking as an Irish football fan. FIFA, UEFA, the Irish Government, the FAI, and lastly the team’s management let us down. They shouldn’t have left it to the actual footballers who generally have the political instincts of sixth formers.

Well yes they’re always going to support the US under the radar to some degree. But we’re not seeing Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya levels of out front involvement.

Who cares? Well the Iranian government obviously. They have been very disciplined in their response to every act of aggression. They know that the slightest overreach on their part may provide the casus belli for any of the other European shitstain countries that love to ride in on US coat tails. That’s why they’ve mostly been hitting US bases and ports.

Iran probably expect the US to attack again soon no matter what is laid out on the table. Why not make the US look all the more pathetic by underlining that they have done another illegal act of aggression while what they pretended they wanted was offered to them.

I guess it’s rice, flour, cooking oil and something else. Maybe chickpeas?

Given the number of people involved it’s probably near impossible to keep secret without heavily draconian measures. Better to control the narrative themselves.

They arrested 152 according to our count. It was chaotic so there were a bunch of wrongful arrests that won’t stand up to any scrutiny. So the final count will probably be around 100.

The protest was an escalation from previous ones in that membership of Palestine Action was claimed (which is an absurdity as it doesn’t exist any more) so protestors were arrested under section 11 which is more serious than 12 and 13 again.

They have a catch and release policy with us.

First time I was given street bail. Basically just details taken and told to appear at a police station at a given date to be charged.

This second time I was brought into a police station; put in a holding cell; fingerprinted, photoed, and DNA taken; then released and given a date to turn up at another police station.
