2·2 months agoTHIS I agree with! Nations and patriotism have been out-moded by supra-national corporate conglomerates, banks, and cartels.
That’s right. In USA and Canada it’s AMATEUR radio. Commercial activity is prohibited. Various protocols are allowed for information transmission, but must be basically open source so anyone can play.

I recently moved to Mexico from Canada 🇨🇦 because of the culture! Nice weather and lower cost of living are both available in many other countries. Mexico has the culture, the arts, the food, the variety that make life here so interesting. Nay; captivating!
Please don’t seek to emulate the degenerating culture to the north. No one likes it! Especially not Mexicans, who have seen firsthand their presence as immigrants in USA and Canada have improved life for the people there. Now help your immigrants do the same for Mexico! 🇲🇽
1·3 months agoI’m way past making a living in tech, and so far (5 months) my MacBook is delivering a very satisfactory user experience. I’m not thrilled with the “radical” changes coming to MacOs, but I don’t have that much invested in the current version to fret over it. So far the biggest controversy about the new OS is how the finder icon swapped colours. I can live with that! I considered and tried some Linux distros over the past few years, but there was too much intervention required by me, the user. The “Total Recall” vibe of Windows 11 pushed me over the line.
And yet, most likely user behaviour hasn’t changed!
I began using Windows in 1992. I switched to MacOS this year and I’m never going back.

The smugness on her face probably wasn’t because of this statement, but it’s very easy to imagine her thinking “Now you bad people are going to die for being bad, whilst us good people watch with stony hearts.” Ugh.
