Lossy means that data is lost on encoding, so the original quality of the recording will be compromised in some fashion.

FLAC is superior to WAV because it’s still lossless but compressed so the files take up less space.

I’m not too familiar with a ton beyond what we’ve discussed in terms of Eastern European/Coldwave musicians so my recommendations might be a bit disappointing, but I can recommend some post-punk/dark wave/cold wave/new wave anyways and hope something is new to you (and appeals to you)

I really like the entirety of that album, but if I had to pick favourites aside from what I posted, I think “Ty Ne Ver Slezam” and “Malchik Moi” are my other two most listened! “Spektakl Okonchen” is also really catchy and gets stuck in my head a lot lol
