What’s your problem now?
I’m guessing the Chinese diet doesn’t have as much corn syrup in it.
It’s mocking Trump and MAGA’s fantasy. For the workers it’s providing them with work that is unpleasant, poorly paid and painful. For the factory owners it is ending up with staff that just aren’t going to be productive.
As for toiling for a pittance: Trump is trying to devalue the dollar and erode workers rights in a race to the bottom. Apart from the fact that, as others here have pointed out, the endgame would be automation the intermediary stage is pushing those in precarity and poverty into jobs that don’t benefit them in any meaningful way.
But the Chinese, being somewhat keener students of human nature, have distilled those arguments into thirty seconds of comedy gold.
Gotta link to that?

Mate, there are so many things that suggest I am on the spectrum now that I have given up keeping track of them all. I’m not sure that at my time of life there’s anything that can be done for me even if I did get a diagnosis.
Yeah, if my memory is correct the flickers stopped completely for me at around 80hz. I’m talking about monitors here rather than TVs.
No, I have very poor hand eye co-ordination. Every time I have tried to play table tennis people have been on the floor laughing at how poor my reactions are. My eyes are just very sensitive to light.
I used to be able to tell what refresh rate they were set to because everything below a certain point flickered. I’d ask people why their screens were flickering and they couldn’t see it.
And in their desperation, they turned to a man no one could fully understand.
In the UK it’s called the Dragons’ Den. I mean I would be happy to watch some billionaires being fed to sharks, dragons or lions. Perhaps that could be the surprise element of the show, which species comes out of the gate. Kinda like Cabin In The Woods.
Edit: we could have people standing round the edge of the arena holding home made placards offering advice: ‘Pull yourself up by your bootstraps!’ ‘Go Tim’ ‘We’re all in it together!’.
Wall Street wonders how much pain Trump will accept for the economy
He’ll accept any amount of pain, unless he’s the one feeling it.
Ah ok, thanks.
Where I’m from a lock in is a pub illegally serving drinkers after time by locking the doors.
What does ‘lock in’ mean in this situation?
Yours faithfully,
a confused Brit.
And let’s define mass shooting.
Last time I discussed this matter on reddit, before I deleted all my comments and left, the person I was arguing with said something like:
More than four or more people in public space? That could include a routine gas station robbery gone wrong.
Whoever owns the fountains owns the money.
If someone throws money into a fountain and then wishes then that in itself is a complete transaction with whichever supernatural entity is being bargained with.
I am assuming that any entity which is powerful enough to grant wishes is also powerful enough to hang onto the money if that should be its wish.
Alternatively it’s a quaint custom that people engage in as a form of custom and the pleasure comes with a link to the tradition.
The periodic clearing out of the fountains is both necessary maintenance and a form of income that pays for said maintenance. No one is really harmed by this.
Ready to get knocked up and then knocked about? That’s the Chav-life.
