Again I ask… where exactly? Inside the USA your micro nation is going to have to either follow all the laws of the local, regional and national governments, or be prepared to defend it by force.

Exxon’s stock went UP after Trump said that he’d keep them out of Argentina. Their CEO said that they’ve had their assets seized twice there already. It’s almost as if the markets think that this is being done without a clear plan of how to actually make it work.

Uh… where exactly? There’s not a lot of land that isn’t claimed by someone already and unless you’re willing to hold whatever new nation you’re trying to form by force, you’ll have a hard time. Trying to do that in the middle of the Gobi Dessert probably only requires a few million in weapons, but water is gonna be hard to come by. Trying it inside the USA is gonna be pretty tough. I’ll suggest buying an island for a couple billion, spend another couple billion on infrastructure and then just a kinda lay-low government, where you don’t officially claim independence, but also don’t really follow the laws you don’t like (see Epstein island for more details).

Exactly. With hour lead poisoning, who will follow all the hate filled rhetoric?
Are you referring to the documentary film Idiocracy?
Were these “incredibly nuanced infographics” written with crayons?

Arguing on the internet isn’t going to change people’s opinions.
Do you have a sink grinder/disposal? If it fell down there and turned on, that could do it, but I think the poster that mentioned it getting caught in a drawer is probably the best bet.
I still consume on Reddit, but won’t post or contribute there anymore.

iPhone 11 Pro Max. Still on ios18 but will probably go to 26 soon because of security updates. I expect this to be the last iOS update that will install, so I’ll probably pony up for a new phone in September, for a 7 year lifespan.
I went with the top of the range $1400 model because I knew I’d use it for hours every day, for a long time. It ends up costing ing about 55 cents a day, and saving a couple bucks on the front end doesnt make sense to me.

A lot of phones have wireless charging now as well. Even if you don’t use it all the time, It’s fewer wear cycles on the connector.

I was gonna say mine aren’t “classic” but the newest vehicle I have is a 2007…. One junk class daily driver plus a mega-hauler truck to tow around my track-day car.

Wait! Sister! What are you doing? Why are you editing those photos while stuck in the dryer? Dod you also run out of pants while editing those photos?

Yeah, Etsy is what comes to mind here.

I’m not trying to apologize for his behavior, but in my read of the situation, he ASKED women if he could jerk off in front of them and sometimes did even without permission, but at no point does it seem like they were held hostage, touched physically or threatened. If he asked ME (hetero guy) I’d have just walked away and thought “what a weird asshole”.

Yeah, I get all that. Link is still messed up. There certainly are functional prototypes of quad-copter “cars” that are all electrical in nature and that’s what I’d expect here too. Throw some wheels on one of those with a “road” speed of say 30-35 for the residential runaround tasks and the drive to an approved take off and landing zone (think flying above freeways only) and something like this becomes more feasible. The idea that we’re going to all be driving 4500 lb+++ “cars” is truly laughable.
The closest thing that I’d say exists today as a “flying car” is a Cessna 172 weighing in around 2500 lbs.

Link is messed up for me. Are these things really that heavy? I’d assume that they’re really just upsized drone things.

Lol me either.

Our RenFest is also super spotty with cell coverage, so that’s nice. GMRS uses the same bands as FRS, so they’re compatible, but GMRS allows 1) Removable antennas for better coverage 2) More power (FRS 2 vs 50 watts on GMRS) 3) Repeaters for very wide coverage (I hear people talking from 60+ miles away on a local repeater once in a while).
The radios are more expensive, starting around $20 but the benefits are pretty nice.
The Governor of MN was also Harris’s running mate and Trump wants to punish that.
