I wish they would do that for me because the A or B questions are so anxiety inducing. I just want to see properly, not take a test where struggling to give the right answer means I don’t get to see as clearly as I could otherwise

Consider that people before transition are not necessarily any different from any other people. You can have very racist, transphobic, alt-right people secretly harboring trans feelings themselves. Sometimes people will turn to those spaces as a coping mechanism and then they become entrenched and invested in the communities. Just because they eventually finally accept their transness doesn’t mean they’re willing to let go of it entirely or the personality archetype they’ve developed as a part of it. If they leave it entirely just because they transitioned , they may not have another community they feel enough a part of to fall back on. Everyone needs and wants some sort of feeling of community even when it isn’t good for them. It can be very hard to break out of toxic spaces when it’s the only space you know and it’s practically defined you as a person, sometimes for most people’s adult lives
It looks to me like it’s making fun of the really bad brain worms that permeate the trans 4chan community. There’s a very specific type of brain wormed in-group jargon being made fun of here. The orange stick figure is saying they’ll never be orange but we can clearly see they’re just… orange. The brain worms are so bad that they believe even while being orange, they aren’t actually. The green stick figure, not being involved with the community or perspective of it, is a representation of the few people trying to break the brain worms within the community. The author knows exactly where the terms being parodied come from and wrote it for that audience
It’s the kind of thing that’s utterly incomprehensible to anyone who isn’t familiar with 4tran or tttt

boobs_@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Sony says it’s not done making Xperia phones just yetEnglish112·2 months agoIf only there were still US models, I would absolutely buy the VII. I love my IV but dropped it a few too many times and have some cracks and occasional weird screen issues because of it. The price point is pretty bonkers but I make enough to afford it and haven’t regretted what I spent on it at all.

I really like the way expedition 33 does it instead because there’s no reward to hoarding them so I actually do use them. You only have a couple and they refresh every time you rest, plus you can also increase your max of each throughout the game.

I had faith in the system to stop certain things but the lack of pushback from anyone else in power despite everything going on right now is proving that believe to be very misguided and naive
Holy shit that Nemo song was so good
For the person you’re replying to, lighter hair (such as blonde, gray, or some form of dirty blonde) generally doesn’t work with laser. To deal with those hairs, the option is electrolysis which is slow, painful, and more expensive than laser especially for large areas but also a very high hair kill rate.

Freedom of their speech, not others’. They hate being “punished” for their hateful ideologies and view it as censorship. Being able to spread their hateful beliefs to large groups is extremely important in propagating it to other people. Conservative created platforms are inherently limited by the fact that their audience is not only quite small but also everyone there already believes their bullshit. They want and need to place their hate in mainstream places where others will see it and hopefully come to believe it
There’s also the bonus effect of reducing both the amount and proportion of non-conservative voices.

There are some words that will less common to get right like say as vs ad or weed vs we’d but it’s so quick and easy to press the erase key and then swipe it again. If you do a swipe and then erase it, I’ve found that it never picks that word again no matter how many reswipes until you’ve decided on that word and moved on. So if I did want we’d but got weed earlier, weed goes back into the normal prediction priority or whatever as soon as I’ve moved past we’d.
Or even if I swipe and it isn’t the right word, the autocorrect/autocomplete/suggestion bar will be words very similar to the swipe motion I did. I find it has the right word in that bar (if I didn’t get the right word in the first place) probably 90% of the time. Similar suggestions by swipe shape also remain for the duration of, eh… that keyboard session for lack of a better term? You lose it if you close the keyboard or switch apps. So if you’re just trucking along doing your swiping and notice later that it picked a word incorrectly, you can still go back to it and have the swipe shape-based recommendations.
I have no idea if this stuff is how it works out of the box or if it’s because of customization settings I did but it works really well and makes phone typing pretty easy.

I’m pretty sure my distaste for it was a factor in her calling things off.
I’ve met people only online so far as well. Dating apps can lead to actual dates sometimes lol. There are also always local meet up groups whether for particular interests or just for general singles. For example, I went to a local LGBT meetup group recently and it seems like the kind of thing where relationships can develop organically from the friends I hope to make there. Taking a perspective of friends first can help with dating prospects too imo
You’re good dude, I only started dating this year and I’m well into my 30s. It’s never too late
I’m not entirely sure but it might be a Watchmen reference
