I believe that Firefox has a mechanism where millions of users all have the same fingerprint, which makes the whole concept of browser fingerprinting useless.
I am kind, and try to do no harm. I bicycle daily, and tinker on all kinds of projects. INFP

Sure seems to me that the California Utilities Commission is serving the big utility corporations at the expense of people wanting rooftop solar, and at the expense of our renewable energy future. Solar is cutting into their profits.
Shame on any Democrats who joined the Repubs for this injustice. She speaks the truth against massive pressure from AIPAC. It’s a McCarthy atmosphere where anyone who dares speak a balanced perspective on Israel and Palestine gets crushed.
My Librewolf gets strong protection from tracking and it’s fingerprint is common with millions (so not uniquely identifiable).
The article does not say how much EU assets are currently in Russian hands. We would need to clarify exactly what these EU assets are. If they are not currency, then seizing EU assets may not be of much value to the Russians if they cannot support or maintain the EU assets.
I would not consider reactionary youtube videos to be a reasonable place for the consideration of the validity of a scientific claim. So many are just propaganda and misinformation. Note: The youtube account is using the video to push a questionable investment scheme.
Massive surveillance programs won’t stop crime. Instead it will be used to persecute target demographic groups.
After hearing earlier in the week that Israel was demanding the evacuation of all hospitals in Northern Gaza, it was clear that this hospital was bombed as promised. Claims that Hamas did it are clearly diversionary propaganda.
Acts of authoritarian control always claim to be done “for the children”. They don’t care about children, they want control.
Why must every faction of Progressives attack each other. Bernie Sanders is the most solid progressive I know of, but Code Pink wants to attack him because his Ukraine support isn’t anti-war? I’m anti war. In particular I’m anti the war that Russia started by invading Ukraine. Anti war doesn’t mean just letting the bad guy do whatever they want. If so, then anti-war is pro tyranny, because they always let the aggressor invade.
“It now appears, though, that Sinclair has pulled the segment from its rotation. “We were not aware of the association and are reviewing our internal policies on sponsored content. The segment in question is no longer on our air,” a Sinclair Broadcasting Group spokesperson told Media Matters.” [Hit, then apologize tactic]
How about just paying food service workers a living wage, so that tipping isn’t critical for basic survival?
The article compares Photography, (which despite being “created” by nature is copyrightable), to AI art. The difference between AI art and photography is that AI art is derivative of other artists and generalized into a Model. Nature is not derivative of other photography. Derivative work has special exemptions in copyright law which prevents it from being subject to copyright.
Developers would be foolish not to begin transition plans off of Unity. The next Unity LTS version will still require the runtime fee.
It is against the law in the US for a company to refuse collective bargaining with a union. NLRB will be involved.
LibreWolf should be on the list.
Chrome, and it’s relatives like Edge, are no longer an option, so I use Firefox.
Nuclear power is neither safe nor ecologically sustainable. The waste is immensely toxic for hundreds of thousands of years. The model is centralized so wealthy oligarchs own the power source and sell it to everyone else. Better to move toward distributed power generation that isn’t massively toxic. Greenpeace must stay anti-nuke.
I must admit, I don’t get why Biden would go so wholeheartedly pro Israel here. I get that the US has been allies with Israel for decades, and we would probably continue that. But his support goes further, and gets out of balance in terms of public perception of Israel (which does have broad public support), and a clear genocide of Palestinians in Gaza which also has broad public recognition. He probably would have been better to try to thread the needle between the two.
