Does it mess more with your perception of reality, time and space than shrooms? If so, sounds terrifying, kinda wanna try

As a SWE I often get both ends of the imposter syndrome spectrum. Like this one super smart person is out of a job and this other one that provides negative value has 4x my salary smh…

8·28 days agoYeah they’re built on top of open source anyways… yet they pretend projects like chrome or android would’ve never happened without them. They’re the ones freeloading off of open source and claiming it… and except for pixel they don’t build the devices we use, so fk them and their predatory practices…

2·1 month agoMe, living in a city with a a basil plant as only garden and a cat as only weapon: guess I’ll just hope for the best!
Lived in Bcn and all this tourist hate is ridiculous misdirected anger. Tourists are good for the economy. Now the “tenedores” (people/company owning many properties), the locals that sold to them, lack of regulation/enforcement and opportunity outside the cities, those are bigger issues. But easy populist justification is: iTS tHe tOurIsts 🔫 There’s no single answer to that problem but Spain has around 4 million empty homes.
Still baffles me how seemingly the same population went from hating Russia and commies to siding with them no matter what…

On Reddit there’s a lot of “lemmy’s too complicated to be adopted by the general public”. Ik we don’t all have the same tech literacy but it doesn’t seem that complicated, like, do you understand emailing? Then you understand most of what lemmy is… (also you don’t even have to understand the intricacies to enjoy your experience there)
Give this man a raise for single handedly inventing the candle watching bridge!
Yep but I’d rather my loved ones be safe than hold on to moral high ground, if they can share information about dates they had in a private group I don’t see the harm.
The women who go on there clearly do it not out of spite for men but because the system is clearly not sufficiently ensuring their safety. I’m not saying it’s a good solution but idk why the internet is so enthusiastic about women who likely had bad experiences (including r*pe) being doxxed and calling it karma…
Well legal or not, in the EU there are Facebook groups like this for every city. So it seems to be a need for women to ensure their safety. Don’t understand what’s so controversial about that… it’s like cancel culture: when there are no legal repercussions to misbehaving stuff like this happens.
And I thought .ml stood for machine learning. I wondered why they made me read the communist manifesto to join…
The job of the bad redundant ones who do everything to prove they aren’t.
I wish we’d stop depicting authoritarians and dictators in memes. Although it can seem like it’s making them a laughing stock, it’s not. It’s making them more sympathetic to the general public, and they’re taking advantage of it (see the White House PR troll team). Just ask a Colombian if they enjoy seeing Escobar memes, or a Ukrainian seeing Putin memes.
Ironically that might boost productivity. And would lead to something closer to meritocracy
Especially considering we’re entering an era where NPCs / robots are getting more and more human-like. Smh it feels more twisted to mistreat an android or AI-NPC than some vacuum or stickman NPC.
Honestly I deactivated history, which disabled the feed. It felt bold and overkill but actually I don’t miss it one bit. I only look for channels and content I like, my YouTube screentime went down 90%.
