Never forget we were told Windows 10 would be the last version. That all updates from then on would be only to Windows 10.

I do and if the computer is for work yes update to 11. But for gaming only why would anyone care if it doesn’t break your games? I do nothing but game on a PC and have no need to update until it is required for gaming. Also it is not like on that date all security updates to that point vanish. Firefox and Chrome will still update for security. Malwarebytes will still also update for security.

Why? Nothing requires Windows 11. It doesn’t even have a new directx which is why most had to upgrade from 7. Browsers and malware software will work for years. Hell malwarbytes still updates for Window 7.

I can tell you first hand some are def real people. When I bring it up to this one friend they start to foam at the mouth and go on rants like they can’t control themselves.

Sweet now they need to fix their file sizes. When I saw how much bigger newest Far Cry was compared to last one I did a hard pass. Learning that companies are doing this so you can’t install competitor’s games made me never want to play another Far Cry again.

All time with tech as a child should be limited and parents need to watch what they are doing. Just like the tv generation it is easy to let it babysit but it comes with a cost.

No Arch? I game on linux as much as possible and went with same that Valve did for SteamOS. Work I use Windows 10 Pro and laptop FreeBSD.

Seen gamers install things worse then Recall. So to them they won’t care. Unless it hurts their latency or fps.

True it is the better option, but putting it on a guest network and adding parental control lowjacks it pretty well. Set it schedule to when you need it.

If you put any of these things on your wifi add them to your parental control settings that most routers have. Restrict what it can access and what times it allowed to connect to the internet.

Yup know many boomers that have kids now that they are covering their rent. Some moving from city to city trying to find work after the promise of going to well known colleges getting them a good job. That never happened.
