The solution is to be pragmatic and support various socialist groups when it makes sense to do so. For example I voted for Mamdani and I dont regret it whatsoever, obviously he’s not going to declare revolution and instate a pure socialist utopia.
I also love flags, flags are so beautiful (except the flag of Haiti, fuck you Haiti with your MS paint looking flag)
Me except im not that intrested in Japan (I love Vietnam tho), im not that intrested in Minecraft (ive just played it for too long), not that intrested in Pokémon (never got into it). You forgot a few things tho
- Programming socks
- Star Trek
- :3
- Mechanical keyboards
- Walkable cities (and a general obsession with people focused city planning)
Damn, thats a really low quality copper sponsor
Typo there I meant to say Anarchists in Catalonia, still the fact remains that demanding absolute purity and claiming anything else isnt socialist doesn’t result in socialism. That line of thinking objectively only results in the creation of more fascist states.
Quite frankly the entire world would become fascist before a single nation in the global south accepts your specific definition of pure socialism
Unironically 2026 is gonna be my year, specifically the year my city gets a socialist mayor, public transportation becomes free, I start taking HRT, and I start Uni :3
Well to be fair Argentina is also rapidly dying and their economy is in total ruin due to that neoliberal shithead, maybe they’ll see a socialist revolution too
As an Anarchist even I have to acknowledge that to date the Soviet Union has been the most successful socialist state, of course I am also of the belief that if the Republicans in Spain or the Anarchists in Ukraine they would have established far more successful implementations of socialism. Still the fact remains that the Soviet Union was by all metrics available successful and even until the very end the majority of people in nearly every SSR supported keeping the Soviet Union alive (if not with reforms), they suffered CIA and western backed reactionary rebellions and I don’t belive any other socialist state would have handled it any better
(yes according to polling made by the reactionaries to gage how much the Soviet population wanted to end to the Soviet Union the majority did not, they promptly ignored the results)
Im not saying they should be 100% accurate and everything needs to be done professionally, im just saying professionals from the feild should at least be consulted
What pisses me of is when major studios make an entire show about a specific profession but cant be bothered to consult anyone from said profession

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why do you personally believe in your religion?
1·4 days agoMy religion is fundamentally based on the idea of gay catgirl supremacy and worship. Service to the catgirls may come in the form of headpats and sacrifices are accepted in the form of baked juicy chicken :3
Isnt this guy in Mario 64?
This entire thread is filled with reactionaries
You could literally read the GraphineOS documentation whenever you want where it clearly outlines how their hardening works, what security systems they have in place, and how their encryption works. I will warn you its incredibly technical, of course you wouldn’t know that because people like you who cant bother to even look at the website (https://www.grapheneos.org/features) wouldn’t know what any of it acturally means.
Tldr: for people who dont understand technical terminology they can trust the project, for people who do they can literally just read the documentation

Quite frankly Linux mint and Cinnamon by extension is X11 software and I dont expect the transition to be completed anytime in the foreseeable future let alone acturally start for users. Even with their incredibly slow adoption of Wayland im shocked they’re going this fast, I thought they would wait another several years. Linux Mint is stable software and they’re significantly less willing to make any changes than even Debian.
(Btw its just testing atm, nothing exists for users yet)
