I remember seeing some estimates in terms of total amount of data (In terabytes) available via HTTP in the late 90s, but I think it’d be impossible to get a reliable estimate these days

World’s first weeb was in 1890

In the frying pan. With some lemon pepper and garlic.

Come back when you’ve read the entirety of the comment you originally responded to.
Unless you live on or near a dairy farm, you should probably stay away from it, especially if payment is expected.
Also, you’re ok with ingesting feces as long as it’s pasteurized?

Don’t you guys clean udders where you are? Jfc…

That’s why you fucking clean them. You’ve never seen a cow being milked, have you?

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Raw milk is fine in theory. Improper storage isn’t.

Source: grew up on day fresh raw milk and after I moved out, milk never tasted as good.
And just to clarify: there are two ways of properly storing raw milk:
I refuse to call it “SI” because there’s no “I” involved. Same goes for “AI” for that matter. It’s a fancy autocomplete, so LLM is appropriate.

Pretty cool. It even feels like the GTA1 physics.
A coworker of mine from Brazil was visiting another coworker of mine in Sweden. I saw the screenshot of the snap he sent while on the train:
“Yeah, of course this is where you live…”. Pictured was a photo of the train information sign saying “StopName (slutstation)”.
I’ll leave it as an exercise for the (non-scandinavian) readers to interpret what “Slutstation” actually means.
This was my immediate thought too: The city with the largest amount of floor space per person probably won’t qualify as a city on its own

Namecheap.
Well, its “skill” was built on public domain or via piracy, so its result should be public domain too.
Hell, my interpretation of the “derivative works” clause of GPL stipulates that all llm and genai products should also be gpl.

Green olives

I scavenge old hardware from work. My rack is now complete (hardware wise, at least), as I powered up the JBOD cabinet today, consisting of a bunch of harddrives left over from disk upgrades at work. It’s a bunch of 10TB and 3TB SAS drive. That server used to be an automation controller, now it’s my storage server. I had 160G of DDR3 RAM laying around from a machine I retired a while back, which is nice to have with ZFS.
My VPN concentrator was a datalogger for two industry robots.
My web crawler was supposed to be a test-server for the software department, but they needed to upgrade.
The only new hardware is my game server, and RAM was over half the price. It’s a fairly standard AMD build, except I gave it a rackmount case.
My networking hardware is also from work, as I detest consumer grade networking hardware. I replaced my shitbox ISP router with a Fortigate 101E, for example.
EDIT: Oh, and the UPS was bought dirt cheap at a bankruptcy auction (coincidentally, the bankrupt entity was a competitor of my employer).
The rack itself was given away at a regional airport who was getting rid of some old and unused stuff. It’s soundproofed and costs a fortune new. By far my luckiest score.

Whoever comes up with some unicode magic to mirror it for the next bar wins

My 10 uear old likes to watch NileRed.
I’m not opposed to blowing up data centers in general, just saying…
