LA refers to Louisiana here. Climate change likely one of the major factors.
My employer contributes a set amount whether or not I contribute. Not a match. I do choose between a handful of different index funds or bond or money market index funds… I don’t fully understand this. Is one of these smarter to be in right now? And should I keep my personal contribution going if it isn’t necessary for matching? Thank you fellow communists for your financial advice.
Is it time to cash out bonds?
Reminds me of that old last week tonight about China building ghost cities nobody lives in. Fast forward a year and they’re bustling cities full of people.
Walter White sneaking around inside Jesse’s apartment while he sleeps. “I’m watching Jane choke on her vomit.”
Do these people actually believe that the risks are made up or do they have a death drive that makes the danger a selling point to them?
I’d post up my favorite diy punk venue but it would be bad opsec. There’s got to be a place just like it in every mid to large city and they’re putting the best sounding most talented people you’ve never heard of on stage.
Inside out 3 looks dope
but at what cost
Thanks to neoliberal regulatory capture this stoppage probably just means VIS gets to send some of their staff home and keep all of the FEMA money.
Maybe if Gavin Newsom chastises them some more they’ll come to their senses and rehouse themselves.
(I’d like to think a sarcasm tag isn’t necessary but people really do act like they believe something like this)
America is so fucking weak. All they’ve got is arm a proxy, wage trade war and fund increasingly ineffective propaganda. You can’t meme your way into revitalized productive forces.
It’s a game where you get dropped into a little toy solar system where each planet and celestial body has its own secrets and rules that govern how you interact with it. You progress by learning these things and piecing together a story that kind of makes you feel how small and powerless but still beautiful our time here is.
I’ve been a fan of that clip for a few years. So today I was looking for it and found out the entire stage play is on YouTube as well, with video. Finishing it up now. It rocks.
One of the financiers borrowed money against the studio to buy more of the studio in order to do a hostile takeover and pushed the original creatives out. There’s stuff about kurvitz being a toxic boss but the source is the business guy taking over the company and the rest of the core team don’t seem to be backing up the claim about kurvitz.
Area 51 gun game at the bowling alley in my grandparents small town. During regular life our home consoles were the star (didn’t have to beg adults for spare change) but when we were stuck at that smoky bowling alley waiting got the adults to get tired that was the best time waster.
“fighting”
Chastising leftists, donating to Amy McGrath clones and doing 45 minutes of voting a year.
Hardcore.
Yeah I prefer my genocide with a generous side of condescension and gaslighting.
I’ll never forget seeing Avatar Way Of Water with my in-laws and they are absolutely moved by the emotions of the movie. Then the next day I’m explaining why California may have opposed water desalination plants to because it kills a lot of fish and they instantly reply “fuck the fish”. I’m sorry but good slop is still slop and it doesn’t reach the average burgerlander in a meaningful way.
