17·11 days agoI wish I understood … the second amendment has been completely defanged as it was intended for militia groups. since the government is so effective at squashing solidarity at scale, we’re left with idiot kids shooting up our schools lone-wolf style … and that doesn’t take into consideration the gap in technological prowess vis a vis the US military. I suppose it’s effective propaganda to have such a narrow perspective.

yes indeed, glad you’re attempting to overcome the struggle of life like us all … good luck to you

I think that’s a good way of putting it. Apparently, there are at least six places called “Copacabana” around the world. This is the original one and derives from an Aymara phrase meaning “view of the lake.” Almost all other locations trace their name back to the Bolivian town via devotion to the Virgin of Copacabana … as per what Wikipedia and Wikitravel tell me
yeah I remember that specifically when I was i dunno maybe 7 years old and I did this same thing at a waterpark in TX… it hurts, shocked me
all fun and games until you have trench-foot at the park later in the day (happened to me) … looks like the kid has Crocs on so maybe he’s ok
You’re welcome! 😅 I’m glad you’re enjoying them. I’m from the States, but I’ve been traveling in South America for a little over a year now. I realized that I had all these pics sitting around that I’ve collected and thought this would be a good way to get them seen by somebody. ☺️

I’ll be happy for the day people stop believing foss is a story of ethical philanthropy and instead understand its macroeconomic value to consortiums who need technology that isn’t owned by a monopoly.

Well, I think maybe that’s a reason I like this picture. It makes Lima look so cozy like a beach town. It is a big, crazy city but it has lots of really lovely nooks and crannies.
