My preferred method is to take a strong fan and put it inside a cardboard box with a hole cut just big enough for the fan to eject air from the box and make a vacuum. Then you simply need one filter big enough to cover the top of the box, not four filters, it still works great!

Squirrel cage style fans are typically going to be more effective at making a pressure differential too just because of the shape. A good strong floor fan, the kind for drying out puddles, is absolutely fantastic for this.

Beyond that a good N95 mask will do wonders for making life more bearable while out in public! They really do manage to scrub out a lot of the particulates if you get a good fit and they come in cool colors these days.

To enforce this, all adults must wear placards stating their full names, addresses, age and telephone numbers around their necks at all times or on with the blinders you little nipper!

Sometimes if it’s really bad and I’m on day 3 of a song and it has gotten annoying I’ll have to intentionally corrupt the hook that keeps retriggering in my head. It’s usually one or two notes that keep springing in and then the rest of the song triggers and starts flowing. When I catch the trigger in my head I grab it and intentionally start imagining that little hooky snip, not the whole song but just two or three annoying notes of it, and loop them until there’s another association leading me out of the trigger other than simply leaping back into the song again.

I say to music brain this is you this is what you sound like, and music brain gets grumpy so I finally get some peace.

I don’t see what would stop a state like California from arbitrarily legalizing BYD vehicles just like they did with weed. The current admin has already used up most of the soft leverage actions it has available just to be pissy and ‘they imported China cars!’ would make for a particularly eye-rolling casus belli for the civil war they intend to instigate.
