  • I’m Australian and I’ve never heard of it

Going to need a fact check on this because this sounds like a situation where someone posts obvious bullshit and people believe it until someone who actually live in the country question it

    Edit:

Just had a look at tje article and none of it has sources, mental floss just links to other articles on their sites with keywords

This article strongly smells of bullshit to the point that it’d start the black plague again with how much bullshit is just left lying around

I live in Australia and don’t recall my school at all teaching me this in maths class

They taught us stuff like radius and area of a circle but not this

    Edit:

Also counterpoint, people exist that live in other countries and every countries education system is different

    Its because its:

    2+5×(8−5)

My calculator app automatically added it when typing in what was in the image and “2+5×(8−5)” does equal 17.

It’s absolutely the fault of the person making the social media media post for not writing it properly and confusing people.

You do realise it’s waste product not suitable for human consumption

For example waste spy product from the production of your soy milk which also uses a ton of water and drives deforestation

The farms also kill farm pests with use of farming machines, pesticides and shotguns
