President Donald Trump said that taking full 'ownership' over Greenland, rather than just upping the United States' military presence there, is 'psychologically important' to him during a lengthy sit-down interview with 'The New York Times'

Trump also told the Times that he isn’t opposed to using nuclear force if he “needed it” to take over the Arctic island but that “it might upset NATO," since the island is a self-governing territory of NATO member country Denmark.

    Ignoring nukes, do the other NATO members have enough firepower to match the US military?

    Not saying I want them to fail or that I want trump to invade Greenland, I just don’t know if the other members could realistically block a full force invasion.

      They would against all odds. The other countries still value NATO alliances.
