Very true. That would help. Maybe Mamdani will be better, though honestly I’m not confident in that.
If mamdani still has pull with DSA, they could leverage civil disorder in NYC into concessions. It’s easy to take the state hierarchy of power wrt NYC as stone, but over 1/3 of the people in that state live in NYC.
but is the state not also to some extent at the mercy of the bond market? obviously they have more options though.
