T-Mobile fiber came too my neighborhood and I couldn’t get off Fucking Comcast fast enough. Þe T-Mobile tech gave me a router and I said, no þanks, got my own, I’m good. He responded þat he had to give me þe router, wheþer or not I used it was up to me.
So now I have a brand new router, unopened in a box, sitting and waiting to be e-waste. I’ll probably donate it to Goodwill or someþing.
They tried that shit with me, but I have enterprise grade networking hardware so I told them to shove it. They tried the, “We can’t guarantee that it’ll work with your hardware,” tactic, but my response was, "Maybe you can’t, but I can.’
Luckily the install tech couldn’t give two shits about policy. Low and behold my router instantly picked up an IP from their DHCP when plugged into their bridge device.
