Yeah, what I have to add is that if you read my comment, you would know that a poem doesn’t have to rhyme. But if it doesn’t rhyme, it DOES have to have a meter, and Ms Gorman’s “poem” doesn’t even have that.
It doesn’t have meter or rhyme, so it isn’t a poem. I can’t believe people still don’t know what a poem is.
Ah, so you’ve never heard of free verse poetry. It’s been around for a while.
