U.S. military investigators believe it is likely that U.S. forces were responsible for an apparent strike on an Iranian girls’ school that killed scores of children on Saturday but have not yet reached a final conclusion or completed their investigation, two U.S. officials told Reuters.

Reuters was unable to determine more details about the investigation, including what evidence ‌contributed to the tentative assessment, what type of munition was used, who was responsible or why the U.S. might have struck the school.

This particular article does not say that. It says it hasn’t been able to rule it out. Which honestly doesn’t make a lot of sense, you would think we know who flew where and dropped what at a specific time and place.

Based on my armchair understanding of the satellite photos, the building looked like part of the adjacent military complex, and US military “intelligence” did a little oopsie.

I’d be willing to believe AI picked the target and no one is bothering to double check the targets it picks.

But I’m also willing to believe this was an intentional act of terrorism meant to demoralize the Iranian people.

        Could go either way.

If that was the case and this school is the only ‘hallucination’, they must have extremely good AI

No, they double tapped the school. Killed the children, then waited for first responders to show up to kill them too. It’s either something cooked up by an AI or by a psychopath, there’s not a lot of room for this to be an honest mistake.

            Also, there’s this story.

The first responders being civilian instead of military is a pretty strong clue. Also a bunch of parents and neighbors showed up, which wouldn’t make any sense if it was a military target.

A wall had been built between the military complex and the area that had the school and clinic. It’s too bad the military didn’t do any kind of investigation into their target BEFORE they bombed it.

Unless Israel gave them bad intel

It could be a US mistake, or an Israeli intentional, or honestly I wouldn’t put it past Iran doing it themselves because it certainly is helping them with US Allies refusing to aid the US with the Israeli Invasion.

Seems logical that it could have been intentional. The US/Trump wants an all out war in order to cancel elections and seize more power.

He does a little oopsie and kills a bunch of innocent children; they get pissed off, attack the US directly, and then he has a war that both populations want. Kind of like 9/11, but we are the terrorists this time.

I think if there are boots on the ground, then all bets are off and that scenario might play out – but who knows?

US has longstanding tradition of protecting themselves, and of course bibi, from such options. This evil, and head of state assassination, was entirely intentional in order to ensure Iranians were more united to fight longer, and no option for ceasefire would exist. The ever more desperate shifts from reality in Trump demands seems like worrisome dementia or Israel handling inconsiderate of US sustainability.

America is so good at making school children fear for their lives that were exporting that to other countries.

That is my typical goto screnario for actual torture

Watch the movie “Johnny got his gun”, the Metallica song “one” was based off it and it is a great and awful movie because it’s like the torture to end all tortures
